Places to Camp and Hunt Wild Hogs

There are many campgrounds which specialize in allowing visitors to chase down these elusive hogs.

Shiloh Ranch Hunting Camp

Shiloh Ranch Hunting Camp is situated in a picturesque valley tucked below the Arbuckle Mountains in south central Oklahoma. The camp proudly boasts that their hunters have a 90 percent success rate on shot opportunities. This western style hunting camp provides a genuine old fashioned camping experience, with wild coyotes howling to the moon and wild hogs running rampant. Two days of bow hunting costs $325 per hunter. Two days of gun hunting costs $375 per hunter. This includes lodging and cleaning facilities, as well as many other services including:

  • One hog of any size
  • Use of stands to shoot from
    • Quadpods
    • Ladder stands
    • Ground blinds
  • Corn feeders
  • Transportation to and from the stands (if needed)

Hog Hunting Texas

Hog Hunting Texas offers a spectacular setting for camping and hog hunting amid the beautiful Brush Country of South Texas. This area is also home to bobcats, javelinas, coyotes, and many other wild animals. With over 18,000 acres of ranches, you will certainly be hunting and camping in the lone star wilderness. Hunting takes place during the early evening and late afternoon hours, when the animals are most active and abundant. Spot and stalk, still hunting, and safari-style hunting methods are offered.

Hog Hunting Texas offers an amazing three day all inclusive hunt. This includes all meals, lodging, guides and transportation from San Antonio International Airport. The hunters are permitted to take an unlimited number of wild hogs and other predators from the hunt. The large hogs will weigh 250 to 350 pounds, and might have teeth up to three inches long. The cost is $945 per hunter. Javelines can be taken for an extra cost.

Tennessee Wild Boar Hunting

Tennessee Wild Boar Hunting offers the opportunity to track down and hunt many Russian and Razorback wild hogs. Located in the majestic beautiful foothills of the Cumberland Mountains in Tennessee, the scenic setting is ideal for hunting. Here hunters will find running streams, abundant hills, dense thickets and beautiful hollows. Dogs are used if the hunters want them.

Professional guides are always within the immediate vicinity should you have any problems. If desired, guides can stay with the hunters. The guides are experts, so you won’t have to experience any hog hunting survival stories in the wilderness. The guides will also transport your kill back to the camp. The “no kill, no pay policy” ensures that you will bring back some trophies. Hog hunts begin at $675 per hunter. Deer, antelope, elk, and other animals also reside in this Tennessee hunting oasis.

Tiger Bayou Boar and Exotics

Tiger Bayou Boar and Exotics offers great hunting and camping in the Bayou of Louisiana. One day boar hunting specials begin at just $100 per person. The two types of hunting options avaialbe at this facility are (1) spot and stalk, and (2)stands over corn feeders. Bows rifles, muzzle loaders, and handguns may be used. Guides will clean, skin, and quarter the meat at no additional cost.

Wild hog camping and hunting is an amazing experience that pits man against boar. Hog camping is becoming increasingly popular, and it is best to book reservations months in advance. There are many wild hog campgrounds throughout the United States, and children are usually permitted and strongly encouraged to participate in the hunting excursion.
