Twin Harbors Beach State Park

Location

Twin Harbors Beach State Park is located on the Pacific coast, and is one of many campsites in Washington state. The park is 172 acres, and portions of the campground are within easy walking distance of the beach. It is conveniently situated on Highway 105, just three miles to the south of Westport.

RV Camping

The park has a number of campsites with utilitiy hook-ups, but they will not accommodate the largest recreational vehicles. The spots are small, with a maximum site length of 35 feet. They are also close together, making it potentially difficult to maneuver into them. Overall, this camp is geared more towards tent camping, with 250 tent sites compared to the 49 spaces offering utility hook-ups.

Camping Details

Twin Harbors imposes a limit of ten consecutive days for any stay during the summer months. During the off-season of October through March, campers may remain in the campground for up to 20 days.

In the winter months, generally from November through early May, several campsites are closed to better consolidate the smaller number of campers arriving at the park. Accompanying watercraft launch sites may also be closed seasonally.

Cancellations and no-shows may incur a fee. Check in time is 2:30 p.m. and check out time is 1:00 p.m. From 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., quiet hours are imposed on the camp. For day visitors, the camp is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the summer and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter.

Natural Investment Permit

The state of Washington requires all campers to purchase a Natural Investment Permit before launching watercraft or dumping from a trailer. Daily permits are five dollars and can only be purchased at individual parks upon arrival. If you are traveling between parks, a daily permit may be used in multiple locations on the same day. Annual permits cost $50.00 and are valid at all Washington parks. In addition to being available in parks, annual permits may be purchased online, by mail, from the Washington State Parks headquarters in Olympia, or from regional State Parks offices.
