LF2 Flashlight

The LF2 Flashlight is a small, programmable LED flashlight built from aircraft grade aluminum. The hard coating gives it excellent protection from the environment as well as corrosion resistance. This flashlight is very durable and has scored well in consumer reviews. It is considered to be the most advanced AAA sized flashlight available at the current time, and is a great addition to your list of must-have camping equipment.

Long lasting flashlight batteries

This small flashlight can use any AAA size battery, and will work well on lithium, alkaline, and rechargeable batteries, as well as on li-Ion 10440 3.7 V when you need extra brightness. The LED used in this flashlight is the brightest LED on the market. The body of the flashlight, in addition to the aluminum, has several O-rings to make it more water resistant. The O-ring seals are located in several different locations, including the battery tube and bezel and between the lens and the bezel. This light was made specifically for heavy, outdoor use in many different weather conditions.

The LF2 flashlight is a programmable light with numerous modes. Since the modes are user defined you can program each specifically to be used in the situations that are unique to you. You can define the brightness of the light as well as the frequency of the strobe effect. With all of the modes, this flashlight can handle a lot of jobs, from reading a map to using the bright strobe in self defense.

The on/off switch is a twist type; however, it is backwards to most twisty switches. For greater water resistance the switch unscrews to turn on and tightens down to turn off. From the off position there are two head positions, P1 and P2, which define the brightness of the light when it is turned on.

The number of twists, or clicks, that you make with the LF2 flashlight changes the programs from one mode to another for each of the eight programs. It sounds very complex but makes sense when you are actually using it. Some of the different modes are:

When the light is turned off it remembers the last mode used. This ensures that if the light is switched off accidentally it can be easily and quickly returned to the exact program.

The Liteflux LF2 flashlight comes with three extra O-rings, as well as lubricant, and a nicely made wooden box for storage. It is available from the manufacturer, Liteflux, but not readily available anywhere else.

When using the diffuser it is important that the bezel be removed before screwing on the diffuser attachment. Runtime is approximately forty-five minutes at 100% output, or about seven hours at 25% output. At full output the brightness of the light is approximately 150 lumens, which makes the LF2 flashlight one of the brightest flashlights currently available in this size and category.

While big lanterns are great for normal activities around the campsite, the LF2 flashlight may become a necessary part of your camping gear. Its small size and bright light makes it a valuable camping and hiking tool.
