There are over 400 KOA campgrounds located throughout the United States and Canada.

Each year, an updated version of the popular printed KOA Campground Directory is published. The directory contains details about each campground that bears the KOA name at the time of publication. You'll find complete descriptions, pricing specifics, and contact information for each facility along with travel directions and maps to help you plan your camping trip. Additionally, the directory includes a complete road Atlas, so you can use it to map out your road trip route as well as locating campsites in the different towns you will travel through along the way.

You can order your directory at KOA.com. There is no charge for the book, but a small shipping and handling charge will be applied to each order. You'll need to enter your debit or credit card information to take care of the fee at the time you place your order, along with details about where your book should be shipped. New directories are available for shipment each March.

To use the online KOA Campground Directory, simply click the "Find a KOA" link on KOA.com. The database allows you to target your search to facilities in the particular areas where you will be traveling. You'll need to specify whether you are looking for a campsite in the United States or Canada to get started.

The U.S. directory allows users to search by state, and the Canadian database allows Province-specific searches. You can search for facilities that offer RV and tent campsites, as well as for those that offer cabin facilities (referred to as Kamping Kabins and Kamping Lodges). Once you specify the particular state or province where you want to find a camping location and the type of camping you plan to do, you'll see a map that features stars representing each KOA campground location. This will allow you to quickly and easily determine if the company has a campground convenient to your travels.

To find out specifics of any of the campground locations that you are interested in, simply click on the star on the map. You will be taken to a web page with details about the facility, including specifics about the types of campsites available, prices, activities, amenities, and much more. There's even a link to The Weather Channel, so you can find out what conditions you can expect during your travels to the area. If the campground meets your needs, you can enter details about your travel plans to determine availability and make your reservations online.

If you'd like to keep a copy of the directory in your RV or other vehicle that you use when traveling, the printed option will be the best choice for you. However, if you like to plan your travel online and you expect to have Internet access during your camping excursions, relying on the online version may be best for you.

While carrying the printed book can be convenient, there's always a possibility that the information may be outdated when you are ready to travel. The online directory will have the most current information, as updates can be made as soon as the changes occur rather than having to wait for an annual publication to be printed.

Since there is no charge to use the online directory and only a small shipping charge is applied to orders for the printed book, you may want to utilize both options so that you'll always be able to locate a KOA campground when you are on the road or are planning a camping excursion.
