One Word of Caution
Alerts about Emerald Ash Borer, or EAB, is on the rise in Indiana in 2007. This destructive insect that looks like a beetle kills ash trees. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is in cooperation with other states to stop the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. Campers need to know that it is against State and Federal laws to transport firewood from quarantined states into Indiana. These states are Maryland, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Ontario, Canada is also on the quarantined list.
